The main benefit of becoming a dues-paying member of the Animas Alano Club is unlimited access to the Club during posted business hours. While at the Club, members can enjoy a safe and sober environment
The Club's goal is to provide a healthy environment to sober, clean, and recovering individuals who are on the path to well-being where they can socialize, learn from each other, attend meetings, and grow together
The regular schedule for 12-step support groups and their recovery-based meetings is dynamic, engaging, and evolving. We offer over 25 recovery-based meetings weekly.
With strong moral and financial support from the community and participating recovery groups, the Animas Alano Club can assure a continuing purpose and role of supporting afflicted individuals and their families who are not alone in their personal struggle to overcome addiction...
Your support and contributions will help us meet our operational expenses and to purchase our facility, giving the AAC a permanent home for recovery in Durango.
The Animas Alano Club in and of itself is not a 12-step program nor an addiction recovery center; but home to many different recovery-based programs and groups via rental agreements, thereby acting as landlord to those individual groups. The Club serves its purpose by providing an outwardly healthy environment, a venue that is conducive to recovery, a physical location where each group can hold its meetings that allows for fellowship activities before, after, and in between those meetings.
One critical challenge facing those in recovery is that they must not only change their past behaviors, but they must also establish an almost entirely new network of friends thereby embracing a new way of life. The Club's goal is to provide a healthy environment to sober, clean, and recovering individuals who are on the path to well-being where they can socialize, learn from each other, attend meetings, participate in group and family functions, and grow together.
There is plenty of private and semi-private space available at the Animas Alano Club where sponsors and sponsees can meet. It doesn't matter whether they're simply catching up over a cup of coffee or getting together for another heavy duty step-working session, there is ample space for Club members to work with others according to the 12th step of their recovery-based program.
The Animas Alano Club stocks an inventory of program-specific literature and helpful information about the independent 12-step recovery groups who meet at the Club. We also stock meeting schedules with the days, times, and specific types of meetings that are available at the Club.
We offer a safe and supportive space for recovery, with meetings available seven days a week. The club is open 30 minutes before and after each meeting for fellowship and connection. Contact us or arrange for a meeting space by sending email to info@animasalanoclub.org
